Wharf COL (Shanghai) Limited has been in operations since April 2004. The expansion to Shanghai was prompted by strong demands in China and the new office and Business Continuity Centre allows COL Limited to have coverage in the mainland. The Shanghai office is established to extend and develop the service offerings currently provided in Hong Kong with initial focus on Business Continuity Services. Wharf COL owns and operates 2 state-of-the art Business Continuity Centres in Shanghai, one in Puxi and another one in Pudong. The data centre and business recovery centre in Puxi is almost 1000 sq. m. It is designed to provide major corporations with operations in Shanghai the same level of comfort and protection they now enjoy in Hong Kong and other financial services centres. COL's second business recovery centre is located in Pudong and operates a data centre in Pudong with a partner Hogan Information Systems (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.

 Well-established infrastructure

• Generator power back up, N+1 air conditioning systems.
• All positions are fitted with PCs, 6xCat V cabling systems, UPS power for PCs and IT equipment, and non UPS power for chargers, and cleaning equipment.
• PABX voice services and dealerboard systems secure storage for stocks of customer stationery, manuals, etc.
• All locations have card access security systems for both data centre and recovery position facilities.
• Video monitoring and recording systems in every location.

 Strategic Locations

• Where possible, we are also "across the water" from these customers. In Hong Kong, our facilities are in Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay, while our customers are primarily located on Hong Kong Island. In Shanghai, we have one in Pu Xi and one in Pudong which gives customers the flexibility to choose their preferred location.

• All of our facilities offer easy access and are near local underground or MTR stations, as well as bus stops. Taxis are also readily available.

• In Hong Kong, three of COL's data centres, two of its business recovery centres and tape vault operations have received the ISO/IEC 20000:2005 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification. We have also implemented the exact same procedures and documentation standards in Shanghai.
